Pencil marks on scores for exams

Students often ask how many of the pencil annotations we've made on their scores need to be erased for an AMEB exam. You can leave as much as you like scribbled all over the page, as long as the annotations don't contain the answers to any of the General Knowledge questions. You can even leave the removable highlighter tape if you wish, however if it is marking a trouble spot, you may be alerting the examiner to watch that spot!
The information about all of this is clearly set out on page xi of the AMEB 2020 Syllabus (and has been unchanged for many years):
